January 2024 Product Release Notes

January was focused on Beta testing several new Pro-level features including Payments in the Registration Process and Enforcing Max Course Capacity.

NEW FEATURE: Payments in the Registration Process

We are excited to announce a new Pro-level feature which provides the ability to set Course tuition and deposit amounts and collect those deposits during the registration process. An added bonus of this feature also generates a financial agreement for each student based on the registered classes, and has parents sign the agreement prior to completing registration. This is highly beneficial, eliminating multiple manual steps school administrators are handling today. We beta tested this feature in January with one of our largest schools and the results were overwhelmingly positive both from the families’ and the administrators’ perspectives.

NEW FEATURE: Enforcing Course Capacity

Another new Pro-level feature related to the registration and class management processes is the ability to enforce the max capacity for a given course section. Often times schools have hard limits on the number of students for specific courses and the registration process can make that even more complex. Since administrators have to approve registrations, there could be situation where more students than capacity can handle could register for a course. This feature will now keep track of not only those students who are approved and enrolled, but also those who have requested enrollment. Addition information is displayed to students/families during registration as well as to teachers/admins during both registration and during the various enrollment options in ClassReach.

Adding “Posted” date to daily emails for announcements – to reduce confusion in our daily ClassReach summary emails, we’ve added the Posted date of the announcement so users can distinguish when the announcement came out.

Improve performance of Data Copier – Often times the performance of the Data Copier for Sections can be unnecessarily slow. Improvements were made to improve this feature’s performance.

Security Improvements – Security of your school and family data is of utmost importance to ClassReach. We have shortened the length of time a user will stay logged into ClassReach after inactivity to limit the security risk.

Bug Fixes - Thank you for your patience!

Disconnecting Stripe accounts if the Stripe account had already been deauthorized on Stripe, an error occurred, and the account can’t disconnect. This has been resolved.

Payment Plan Enrollments - Enrolling in a payment plan for a financial agreement charge wasn’t re-calculating payments when choosing payment plan. This issue has been resolved.

Data Copier – The data copier was duplicating sections in the same academic term for schools using multiple academic terms in one school year. This issue has been resolved.

School Subscription Payments – Schools using Gravity ACH to pay their subscription invoices did not show an updated payment status once the payment cleared. This issue has been resolved.
