After departments are created, you can then assign Department heads to them, these department heads will be able to approve Lesson Plans and other things of that nature.
To Create a New Department
- Navigate to the Settings tab at the top of your screen.
- Click Departments in the Course Settings window.
- Click the +Department button.
- Fill out the relevant fields:
- Name: This will be the department name. For example: Mathematics, Extra Curricular, Science, etc.
- Add Department Head: Use this drop down to mark who the department head(s) is(are), if any.
- Click Save.
To Edit a Current Department
- Select a current Department you would like to edit and click the Edit button in the expanded window.
- Fill out the relevant fields.
- Click Save.
Add a Course to a Department
- Expand the department by clicking on it.
- Click Edit in the expanded window.
- Use the Move Courses to this Department drop down to add courses to the department.
- Click Save.
