FAQ - Can I create a separate invoice for each student's tuition?

Some voucher programs and scholarships want to see invoices separated by student. This article shows you how with one payment plan

There are two parts to this answer -

1) Create separate tuition charges for each student

2) Create separate invoices for each student with one payment plan

Separate Tuition Charges

To create separate tuition charges for each student can be done manually (one charge per student), using a batch transaction or with a financial agreement.  The first two options are explained in other articles and videos, so this will focus on financial agreements.

While Financial Agreements can be completed individually, one agreement for each student which would create a unique charge for each student, this requires the parents to sign 3 separate agreements which is usually undesirable.  ClassReach Financial Agreements are designed for families to only have to sign ONE agreement per school year for all their children.  This results in one charge posted to the transactions and if you're reading this, you will need a unique charge for each student.  To do this requires the following steps.

OPTION 1 - delete the financial agreement charge and manually add a charge for each student.   We don't recommend this, because the one Multiple Category charge that results from the Financial Agreement is a quick reference to all the details of the agreement (it is still available to see on the Financial Agreements tab).

OPTION 2 (RECOMMENDED) -

1) Zero out the financial agreement charge with a Payment of type "Misc Credit."

2) Add a net charge for each student, which is after all discounts.  This amount can be found in the Financial Agreement in Total Column next to the student.

3) Next you will enroll them you could manually invoice them as part of each student's charge (one or more invoices) or you can use the method in the next section -

Separate Invoices

This is a video answer to this question.  You can create one payment plan and then separate the students into their own set of invoices.
