External email outage - NOW RESOLVED
May 16, 2026 - We were experiencing a problem with external email services. We had to work with our email provider who had suspended our service based on a link a school had used in an email situation that was flagged as a possible security risk. That meant ClassReach messages that normally auto-forward to personal emails was not functioning from Saturday, May 16th - Tuesday May 19th 12pm PST.
The risk was reviewed by SendGrid and finally cleared as non-threatening and our email services were restored as of Noon PST on May 19th.
All queued emails were sent and new messages are now flowing again.
Internal ClassReach messaging was always fully functional during this period.
Our team is working with the email service provider to prevent future false risk alerts that cause this kind of automated suspension. We will even consider a change in vendors if we do not find satisfactory assurance that this kind of situation will be resolved in a more expedited manner in the future.
