September 2025 Product Release Notes

This month's focus was on improvements to the gradebook, directory and a critical Profile Forms bug fix.

New and Improved

Gradebook - Assignment Date changed to Due Date - The date displayed on each assignment in the gradebook is now the Due Date, instead of the Start Date.  

Gradebook Student Column white space– We reduced white space between the students list and the averages/points column.  

NOTE: Additional options to get more grades to show -

1) The option in the "Show Totals" dropdown to select "None."  

2) The expanded view of the grades grid, selected by clicking the two diagonal arrows on the far right of the green bar.

Gradebook - display options are now "sticky" - If a teacher sets a particular view in the Gradebook or Homework, it will now remain as the default view until he/she changes it again - specifically, Show Totals, Sort Students By, Sort Grades By and Show Category.  Additionally, the sort in the Homework tab now also "sticks" when the teacher chooses to sort by, for example, Due Date instead of Start Date.

Teacher Role - deletion restriction - If a teacher has Course/Sections assigned, the admin is now prohibited from deleting the teacher role.  This prohibition is to ensure the teachers teaching records are not deleted.

Bug Fixes - Thank you for your patience!

User Profile Form Permissions - This fix allows students to see a page, section or field in their profile (visibility), but not edit it.  This was previously not functioning correctly for an individual field.  

 

Directory - Archived students - Archived students were appearing in all directories and they should not be there.   This has been fixed and now only active students show in the directories.

Directory - Misplaced notification number - When there was a Notification of a new discussion(s) - can be school or section discussion - and the number indicator shows up on the Teacher/Guardian/Student left menu bar - it was also showing up next to the Directory menu item (there are no notifications for Directory).  

Data Copier - all Lesson Plans requiring approval - When data copying lesson plans from one year to the next, it was requiring that the copied lesson plans be approved, even when the Department Settings do not require Lesson Plan approval.   It SHOULD require approval ONLY if the Department Settings say Lesson Plans Require Approval.  

Gradebook - several malfunctions (graph icon & grade statistics) - these have been fixed for Teachers and Guardians/Students.

Course Options - Save Error - When there were multiple radio button course options and the admin clicked on one it erased the selection on the second one (and vice versa).
