• Where announcements are managed

  • Admins manage announcements from the School page

  • Can view:

    • Current announcements

    • Past announcements

      • List view of all announcements

• Announcement components

  • Title

  • Start and end visibility dates

  • Formatted body/description

    • Text

    • Images

    • Links

  • Audience selection:

    • Teachers

    • Guardians

    • Students

  • Students can only be selected if guardians are also selected

• Important announcement options

  • Mark as Important

    • Displays first

    • Highlighted in red

  • Send announcement email immediately

    • Separate from normal notification summaries

• SMS texting support

  • Available for Basic tier schools and above

  • Uses monthly texting credits

  • Credit usage based on number of recipients

  • Auto-purchases extra credits if exceeded

• Text message behavior

  • SMS uses separate short text field

  • Limited to 148 characters

  • Full announcement body does not go in text

• Where users see announcements

  • Teachers/guardians/students see announcements in right sidebar

  • Important announcements appear at top

  • Calendar events also appear in sidebar

• SMS credit management

  • Managed under:

    • Settings → Billing → SMS Texting

  • Shows:

    • Available credits

    • Monthly usage

    • Allowances/history
